Name: Antonio
About me: Hi everybody. I´m a 29 years old Mexican market researcher who lives in Mexico City, however, I wasn´t born here, I was born in Cordoba which is a city located in the eastern state of Veracruz in the Gulf Of Mexico. Since I went out from home I have lived or spent at least 2 months in 4 different cities, Xalapa in Veracruz, Playa del Carmen (I´m sure many of you have heard about this paradise), Dublin in Ireland and of course Mexico City. I have also visited 23 of the 32 states of my country and I have been in 14 countries. So as you can see I love knowing new places, meeting new people, visiting historical sites and understanding about new cultures (I really believe this is the path to the world peace and cooperation).
Location: Mexico City
What do I Love about Local Guides: Well, first of all, I would like to explain the importance of this. I´m a “late millennial” (Yes, I´m almost 30) so when I was a child or even a teenager if you wanted a recomendation about any place/restaurant/museum or advice about vacations you had to ask directly to people who were fortunated enough to have visited those places, now remember that I was born in a small city where most of the people just had been in cities around my hometown, so when I wanted to go to Guadalajara (on the other side of Mexico) I arrived in that city knowing nothing about where to eat, or what kind of attractions had the best rate or what people used to think about certain museum or hostorical site. Nowadays this sounds rare, but I´m writing something that used to happen 12 or 13 years ago. So when I think about being a Local Guide, I think in to give your best appreciation, your most balanced opinion and the best description to give the rest of the world the opportunity to plan their day, their trip or even their complete vacations. So, I think this activity is really important to help the people to optimize their time, their money and why not, their own emotions. Every time I know someone read my comment or watched one my photos I remember every time that when I was a child I wanted to know it the Colosseo Romano was such as big as I read books or if every 7th inning end in major league baseball games they used to sing “take me out to the ball game”, so, yes, this is meaningful for me.
What I love to do: Definitely I love traveling, in my country, around the world. Probably the correct word is “discover” because every new place is a discovery for you.
