Hello Everone, here is my brief introduction.
- Name-Gunjan Dixit
- Location- New Delhi, India. Although I belong from Lucknow (India)
- What I do- I am a student/researcher in the field of Bioinformatics at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.
- What defines me- Although most of my life is involved around books and computer, I never miss a chance to explore new places. I am an enthusiastic and adventurous person finding happiness in little things in life, be it nature, traveling, food or even being lazy and surfing the internet on my phone. I find joy in helping people, I often volunteer for small events. I won’t call myself a foodie but I love clicking pictures of food items and post it on social media, it allows more and more people to know about it and try it as well. I am really fond of aesthetics and decoration, being creative myself I find it very fascinating how people decorate a place and invite art-lovers to appreciate their talent. The moment I see a place like that, my inner marketing skills rise up and I make sure everyone in my circle visits it. Sometime when I am in no position to go for a vacation I just view pictures of places I want to visit the most and feel good about it. That sounds really crazy of me but maps allow us do that and with street view option you can actually feel that a lot better.
You can actually go on a world tour with just your phone with google maps on it 
- Why I chose to become local guide- I have a habit of looking up a place before visiting it to get an idea of a place and make use of most of it. I realized many people share this habit and it would be really helpful if people find genuine reviews online with added information before actually visiting it. It’s an immense pleasure to be able to guide people and save their time. I love clicking pictures and therefore ensure to post it on google maps to provide a glimse of the place. You also get some perks by being a local guide so it’s worth spending your time on Also, I love giving recommendations to people about food, hotels, historical places and so on, doing that on a global platform such as maps allow huge number of people to actually consider it.
I’m wondering where I had been past so many years of not being a part of CONNECT up till now. Really looking forward to meet and explore different people and culture all over th world
