Have you ever tried souffle pancake? If not, you’ve got to have one someday.
I concluded it as the best of both world, very fluffy while still feeling like pancake.
Originally this recipe was from Japan and many of the Japanese souffle pancake stores started to open overseas sites in Taipei these days. I’ve tried many of them, today, finally, I had opportunity to enjoy the flagship-椿Tsubaki Salon.
I ordered the one called “chocolate banana”, as you can see below are 2 pieces of pancakes covered by chocolate topping and several chopped banana, they also add up 2 small scoops of ice creams. Got to admit that apart from pancake itself, the ice cream clearly stroke my fancy.

All in all, as claimed, it really is (in my mind at least) the best amongst souffle pancakes. However, their price are very high, this set plus one pot herb tea cost me (+10% service charge) 693NTD which equals to 23 USD by today’s fx rate. And I highly don’t recommend ordering the drinks which are pretty normal and quite expensive…
