Hej alla Lokal Guides.
Jag har publicerat ett företag som är ny öppnat i min hemstad. Idag var jag i kontakt med föreståndaren i företaget. Berättade vem jag att jag var en LG och ville bara ha lite mera information om företaget typ öppettider och vad de har att erbjuda. Då talade föreståndare att de har köpt och registrerat företaget på Google. Han ansåg att jag inkräktar på deras varumärke.
Jag talade om att jag gjorde detta helt ideellt och inga krav på att få betalt. För att undvika en större diskussion så fick han mitt namn och telefonnummer. Tror att han skulle kolla med Google och sedan återkomma till mig.
Är det någon av er som har råkat ut för detta problem, det är första gången för mig. Andra företag som jag varit i kontakt med har varit mycket tacksamma.
Vad tycker våra moderatorer om detta och hur ska vi agera när vi råkar ut för detta problem?

I’m not Moderator, I’m just common Local Guides. If allowed, I’d like to share my opinion.
First of all, I feel sorry for what was happened to you lately. In my experience, not everyone are aware/know about Local Guides program. What we do, what we try to contribute to Google Maps, how it works, what and who’s benefit, etc. Some people even thought that Local Guides are Google’s employee (which is not). That’s why, in my opinion, the manager of the place you’ve add to Maps are accusing you that you’re going to steal their brand.
If I’m facing situation like this, personally I would just go away, maybe run. In my opinion, it’s not worth to risk our own safety just to make sure someone’s business had complete and correct information in Maps. It’s the place’s owner’s/manager’s responsibility.
In this article (Local Guides Program Terms and Conditions ) is stated that “…you (Local Guides) must not at any time represent yourself in any way as a Google employee or a representative of Google or its products or services.” That’s why I will not act like one. I will not giving my name, my contact number, to them. Even I won’t call them to ask for their place’s business hour, services they offer, etc. For safety reason I will (suggest) add a new place/listing on Maps as anonymous (maybe this is why our edit in contribution are only visible to us).
In my opinion, it’s not worth. I would just go away and deny their request.

Sikke noget. Måske har ejeren været udsat for nogle scammers, som har solgt ham noget alle Local Guides kan gøre gratis for ham eller han kan gøre selv. Det kan også være at han har købt et Web domæne og ikke kender forskel på Web og Google.
Jeg har været meget aktiv men er aldrig støt på noget lignende.
Håber du kan lægge den negative oplevelse bag dig og vil fortsætte som en aktiv og glad Local Guide.

Hej MortenCopenhagen. Det är helt klart att jag kommer att fortsätta som Lokal Guide 
. Det är bara kul att få lägga ut bilder och skriva recensioner på de platser jag besöker. Allt för att hjälpa andra att hitta nya platser. Jag hittar mycket bra info om de platser jag söker på, så jag måste bjuda på något också.
