Last week, I read the #ConnectLive recap post by @ChinonsoOnukwugha and was instantly touched by what she wrote. Looking for a deeper connection with her, I invited Chinonso as a special guest on our Meet & Greet Facebook Live show at Local Guides World. She was instantly loved and within 24 hours we had almost 300 views and over 100 comments.

Since not all Local Guides are active on Facebook, I promised to share our conversation here on LGC. The downside of this is that by watching this YouTube version, you are missing out on all the community engagement we had during the show. Chinonso received showers of hearts and likes and lots of nice comments. When you wish to partake in that experience, you would need to watch the replay on Facebook from your mobile.

Since I am only sharing her interview here and not the whole Meet & Greet with community news and a Q&A, I need to say two more things. @JanVanHaver is going to laugh as he always teases me with my bloopers. First, because I live in Spain, my brain is somewhat rewired to automatically end all female names with an “A” and males with an “O” (as in Paula and Paulo). So you see where I am going with this, I consistently get Chinonsho her name wrong. Secondly, the video is really lagging. This is due to the internet connections and all the processing that takes place on my laptop. It has been a hit or miss, lately. Fortunately, the sound is okay, so it hopefully this video still makes for an enjoyable experience.

Just kidding of course, you really are doing a fantastic job, and since most of it is live, sometimes ‘accidents’ will happen. During the talks I have had with @AdrianLunsong on the topic of recording podcasts, we also discussed ‘the number of times you restart recording a bit’ and we both agreed from experience that the answer sometimes is: a lot!

You are a brave man indeed @JeroenM for doing your live shows! Even on fibre, I don’t trust my connections at all! Love the video and sadly, I’m virtually present on Facebook but not much else. Well done too to @ChinonsoOnukwugha , awesome as always!

Thank you @NABILazeez , you are such a great friend and mentor to me. We should really try to do a show together, if not for LGW then perhaps a special for Local Guides Egypt.
