Interesting thing I have done as local guide: Food photobombing

As a local guide initially I posted places I visited randomly, when i reached level 5 of local guide I changed my posting pattern to give more emphasis on what you get here.

Living in Delhi without family I visit many food outlet with my friends. Now it has become an habit to click snaps of food I eat and upload to Google maps. Add photos of menu card.

During last few month I realised just adding just adding photos of food or menu card is not enough. Now I review food based on taste, authenticity, serviceability, etc.

While reviewing any food joint I make sure to visit wash room to known how well they are maintained. I question waiters about speciality of this outlet and try it. It helps in giving authentic opinion.

Another thing I make sure to add in review is payment method accepted. Many outlets in India still work in cash. PayTM, Google pay are slowly reaching rural areas.

During my trip to Mussoorie last year I tried to capture dhaba I visited, made sure menu card is uploaded, each food item we ordered is clicked. At the middle of the trip my friends stopped others from having food until it was clicked by me.

Local guide has imbibed me with habit of photobombing every food I try. It has changed my perspective about restaurant, how I see them.
