Instant Noodles (Indomie).

Indomie is a unique brand of instant noodles, loved by a majority of Nigerians.

It had grown to become a household name in Nigeria owing to its delightful taste and wholesomeness.

Instant noodles are a noodle dish, first originated in Japan in 1982 and now it is found in most parts of the world.

This noodle is usually sold in a dried and precooked noodle block, with flavoring powder and/or seasoning oil package separately inside.

Here in Nigeria, we have different kinds of instant noodles but the first kind is Indomie instant noodles and ridiculously many individuals have taken the name (indomie) as the general name of other kind of instant noodles.

Procedure (My recipe ) very Easy.

Fry the onion and pepper in the oil, Add water.
Put indomie spices and curry.
Allow to boil.
Add the noodles.

Allow to boil for 3 minutes.
I normally put additional onion last so that it will be a bit fresh.
Sardine is added last to the noodles in other not to disintegrate.

Serve hot and immediately. ?

Right now I would love to tag @OlgaKlimchik @Ant_Bad_Yogi @SabbirShawon @GógPéterné @Muhammad_Usman @MukulR @Avraham_Jurado @Anonymous how do you prepare your own noodle

Whahahaa… Nigerian Indomie.

That’s great, @Austinelewex

I used to cooked it with some vegetables, fresh chilli, and boiled onion.

But adding sardines and tomato paste is great too.

But here in Indonesia, it’s a must to serve Indomie with rice. Otherwise, it’s just a snack. Right, Mbak @Nyainurjanah ? Hahaa…

Watashi wa Indomie ga suki! :yum: :yum:

Hi @Austinelewex

Thank you for your great post, I’m glad Nigerians like Indomie like we do. Indomie has been an important food chain to most of Indonesians, easy to prepare, handy to carry and delicious.

Funfact about it, Indomie wasn’t our first brand of instant noodles. It is Supermi, manufactured first in 1968 then followed by Indomie in 1972. Being the second one didn’t stop Indomie to conquer the instant noodle market in Indonesia. I just have to say, you don’t have to be a good inventor, you just have got to be a good learner.

Indomie took research and development seriously to find the right and most liked flavors so I think that are the main reasons why they succeed. Some insiders said, they hijack the Supermi most important person, but for me there are no evidences so I can’t consider this as a truth. This could be only a rumor.

I noticed that your chicken flavor packed with similar design and color. Below is our Indomie

I’d like to add grated cheddar cheese on top of my cooked Indomie, for me personally, only chicken and chicken curry flavor go with it.

I do add 1 table spoon of creamer (usually you mix them with coffee or tea) if I want to have dense, thick broth.

Oh well, it made me want to open one pack and cook it right now. LOL

Hi, @Ant_Bad_Yogi . I’m sorry for this confussion.

In Indonesian, “Mbak” is similar to “Miss” in English.

Mbak Nyai = Miss Nyai (eventhough “Nyai” itself means “Miss” in a more higher level).

In Sundanese you can use “Teteh” or “Teh” for “Miss” or “sister”, depends on the context.

For male, you can use “Akang” or “Kang” (please correct me if I’m wrong, Mbak @ @Nyainurjanah ).

I’m not Sundanese. I’m Javanese from East Java, Indonesia. That’s why I’m using “Mbak” than “Teteh” to call @Nyainurjanah

“Mbak” in Javanese language is also means “sister” or “Miss”.

But in a more local dialect, we often use “Ning”, “Mbakyu”, or “Yu.”

For male, we use “Mas”, “Kakang”, “Kang”, “Cak”, and even “Sam”.

Interesting, right? Hehee…

But in Thailand, how you used to call a friend, @Ant_Bad_Yogi ? Like p-Nyai? 555

Thank you for tagging.

I am surprised at the ramen without soup. :astonished: Speaking of which, ramen shops in the town, called “Tsukesoba”, are increasing the number of ramen with noodles and soup. So Austinelewex is at the forefront of ramen.

The governor of Tokyo has requested that you do not go out on weekends, so I want to make instant noodles after a long absence. You can look forward to the report of the new week. :ramen:

Hahahaha @iorikun301

So without rice it is a snack.

Here in Nigeria, sometimes it is regarded as fast-food because it is so quick to cook.

Here is a picture the one I bought as fast-food.

indomie instant noodles with fried egg and carrots chopped.

Enjoy @iorikun301 @OlgaKlimchik

Remember this is fast food.?

Hahahahaha @OlgaKlimchik

Nah, remember it is somewhat carcinogenic @OlgaKlimchik .

One needs to be careful, as much sweet the noodles is, as much precaution you need to take while preparing it.

However, instructions on how to prepare it is written behind the package.

A package cost less than a dollar, according to size @Ant_Bad_Yogi

You could see hungry man size is 150 naira which is 50 cents.

This one you’re asking about the price @Ant_Bad_Yogi Do you want to prepare it yourself there in Thailand?
