Inspired by other LG's non-Map photos- Goal of 1 photo a week (av) for a year

If you have spent any amount of time browsing star photos, you know that many LG’s take really lovely photos. But what we see is what they have done for posting on Maps. I found that a few LG’s have shared pieces of their work that are not for Maps and that are beautiful, interesting, and outstanding photos. I know this list is not exhaustive and I and I will add more as I discover them. These are the most recent ones I have come upon:

Inspired by these and the other fabulous photographers and videographers on Connect, I plan on sharing a new image or video to this post and will try to average one per week for a year.

I shot this photo today at Spofford Lake, NH

Aw you are too kind @Rednewt74 to take time to make these shoutouts for fellow Guides in the community. You and @TravellerG are two of the most supportive individuals here on Connect, and can’t thank you two enough for cheering all of us on! :blue_heart:

I was having a tough day after some angry customer support calls I had to deal with, but the Connect comments never fail to put a smile on my face. :couple_with_heart_woman_man:

Love the photo you shared. The lake looks so beautiful, and I love the cloud hovering in the horizon, and the sun peeking over it. :sparkling_heart:

Thank you dear friend @Rednewt74 for sharing the photo of the sunset behind white clouds is stunning. I like your views on LGs taking photos for posting on Maps. May I ask you, was it shot with a mobile? Lenses camera?

Dear friend

Thank you sir for tagging me in your post. Unfortunately, I missed to see your star photo, when I tap Here “Soochipara Waterfall is from Kerala ([Here](http://Check%20out this review of Soochipara Waterfalls on Google Maps Google Maps))”, it’s not opening.” I don’t know the problem may be with my mobile settings.

@PrasadVR ,

Thank you for your interest.

I shot this with my Pixel 7 Pro phone.

I used Google Photos to crop it and adjust the contrast. I adjusted the color a little bit, but it’s pretty true to life.

I also used the sharpen and denoise tools.

One of the things that I really like about my Pixel, is that when you are taking the photo there is a slider that allows you to adjust the range or balance of dark and light parts of the image. I find that for this type of image it can make a big difference.

Thanks for tagging my Butler murals post @Rednewt74 I’m glad you found it worthy of sharing! The Coca Cola mural is definitely an eye catcher.

I like the cloudy sunset over the lake, makes me think of camping. The lake is always warmer than the air after a sunny day and it’s one of my favorite ways to watch a sunset. :sunrise_over_mountains:

I’ll be looking forward to your weekly updates!

@PrasadVR ,

Thank you for taking time to look at my photo.

But I’m so curious:

"I am surprised to see how (our) Indian Pond "

How are you familiar with Indian Pond?

Dear friend @Rednewt74

After seeing your wonderful photo ‘Wantastiquet Mountain’, I checked the location in Google Maps, and I saw 'Indian Pond ’ near ‘Wantastiquet Mountain’ in Google Maps. As I am from India, I felt a bit surprised to see the word ‘India’ in ‘Indian Pond’. That is the reason I mentioned in my comment. Frankly, I do not know anything about Indian Pond. If it is improper, I will edit my comment. I am learning a lot from your posts.

Best regards,

@PrasadVR ,

There is absolutely no problem. I just thought that you might have already been familiar with Indian Pond; perhaps having visited it sometime in the past. As you probably know when European explorers first came to North America they beloved they had navigated all the way to India and mistook the Native Americans to be the people of India. Hence a lot of places in the USA have “Indian” as part of their names. It was my mistake. So glad we are able to chat about Maps and everything else around the globe.

yes dear friend @Rednewt74 our chats sometimes taking us to history and many more interesting things. I read about Red Indians during my school days, it’s one guess question to score marks in final examinations. It’s a pleasure chatting with you . Cheers!

I’m back and almost forgot @Rednewt74 But here is my Photo of the week, it looks like it should be from a British or European mansion Garden but no it’s from the amazing Gardens of the Parkwood estate, here in Oshawa On. Canada, Story to come later.
