Before I ever wrote my first review I always held people who did the research for us in high regard. Whether it’s youtube videos on the latest tech or a local telling the tale of a hidden gem on Google maps. Let’s be honest reviews help us make informed decisions and help businesses serve their clientele better. Anytime I want to go check out a new restaurant or cafe the first thing I’ll do is look at Google reviews. In so many instances I’ve been influenced to experience something that I enjoy or find a new favourite! I want to pass on that insight forward and help others make informed decisions about what they want to experience. My love for food and photography added to the desire to write reviews and share photos of some of my favourite restaurants and cafes in the area. What I like to do is try out the restaurant a few times and try to be as honest as possible. Sometimes I’ll do the first impression but I find that they don’t do justice to what the restaurant is capable of. Judging the service, quality and atmosphere is a good idea to provide an impression of what your experience might be. I finish off by giving the recommendation to help solidify a decision. As humans, we can only make so many informed decisions in a day due to the information overload of today’s media. I take pride in knowing I helped someone find a new favourite place to have lunch or help someone find the best espresso in town.
