Inside the Air Force One Aircraft at Museum of Flight in Seattle

The Aviation Pavillion is part of the Museum of Flight in Seattle.

On display in this pavilion is the majestic Air Force One, the aircraft that carryied the president of the United States.

The entry to the pavilion is included in the ticket for the museum.

Franklin D. Roosevelt was the first president to fly in an aircraft while in office.

This is the cockpit of the Air Force One.

The seats are very comfortable, and lavishly cushioned though they are covered in transparent sheets to prevent visitors from using them.

There is a control and command room within the Air Force One.

There is also

Beside a row of sofas lined up along the windows where common passengers would otherwise cram in tight spaces.

A special designated place for telephone communication from where the presidents could talk to any one in the entire United States.

Here is the main area of the Air Force One with large seats and the aisle area.

There were bunk beds also.

Besides a lavatory, there is a complete kitchen set with an electric stove to cook or reheat food during the flight.

Not just that, there is also a coffee vending machine within the Air Force One.

How to Reach

Read an in-depth visual guide about how to reach the Museum of Flight using the Seattle metro for just $3.

I stayed in the Green Tortoise Hostel that was studded with features, yet very economical rates.

नमस्कार,

** @TusharSuradkar **

The museum definitely is one of a kind and covers a unique and unconventional subject but really interesting. It seems the aircraft is a “walk through” kind as all the items are under glass covers which is a good idea preserving it.

And, looking at the other aircrafts around, we can anticipate another great post following. :grinning:

Cheers!

Thank you dear @AjitThite and you got it right  each aircraft in the pavilion is a separate museum in itself.

I will be sharing inside views of the Super Concorde and the Boenig Dreamliner this week.

Thank you so much for your valuable comment @TravellerG

It is only a knowledgeable, well-read person as your good self can notice those pre-modern technologies.

I am fortunate to see you highlighting it in the replies.

It is not only your informative and well-researched original post, but also comments like these that makes LG Connect an amazing place that it is.

God bless LG Connect.

Thank you @TusharSuradkar for this amazing post about museum of flight. The description very informative. Are there any ships in the museum that are still actively operating?

Thank you @Ismi_Choirunnisa and an interesting question.

Most likely, they are all retired aircrafts that have made their way into the museum.

For example, the Concorde which was retired in 2003 is also seen.
