Can someone tell me if I want to publish a story that contains travel, food and drink, and local stories, should I post the content in each category namely: travel, food and drink, and local stories?
It seems each category is separate.
Please advise.

In writing an article, you can only choose one topic/category.
In this link you could find what are the Connect’s topics and some explanation about it: What are Connect topics
In my opinion, if you had written an article (but you didn’t published it yet) that could categorized in each Connect’s topics, maybe you should measure your articel first to know which topic/category that is fit best to your article. And then you choose one.
And after that if you still feels that your article is also fit to other category, maybe you could add tag(s) to it.

You must post separately in different categories just like you post your travelling experience in travel category and you food and drink experience in that an so as
By doing so anyone can easily get to your post if he/she is finding something related to your post.
