Indonesia Travel Bucket List Luwuk Banggai 4 : Extraordinary Landscape in Lukapan Hill, Pulau Dua

After returning from the island, the two Susur Nusantara teams also took a break and let go of their fatigue after warming up on the island by eating appetizing seafood and returning the spirit as usual.

After taking a break for a while the tour was not finished until here, the Susur Nusantara Team continued towards a hill which said the scenery was no less exotic than Pulau Dua, the surrounding community called it Bukit Lukapan or Gunung Lukapan.

Guided by friends from Luwuk we rushed up Bukit Lukapan, trekking to the hill was quite exhausting because the road that was only a footpath and uphill and covered with bushes had to be extra careful to climb this hill.

After trekking which was quite difficult, the Susur Nusantara Team finally arrived at the top of the hill, it turned out that it was indeed proven that our efforts to climb this hill paid off with extraordinary views, we were amazed to see the beach below with white sand stretching, wide blue sea and the two islands lined up in front of us, which are called Pulau Dua, also look beautiful.

The feeling of fatigue was gone and changed the sense of awe and amazement with the panorama above Bukit Lukapan, here we did not miss the opportunity to capture the moment with the beauty of this extraordinary scene.

Actually the right time to go up to this hill in the morning is because here we can see the rising sun rising from behind the ocean which adds to the beautiful scenery of Bukit Lukapan.

After being satisfied with the photos and enjoying the view from Bukit Lukapan, the Susur Nusantara Team decided to go back down because it was already late and it was time to go back to the hotel to prepare for the beauty of the other destinations in Luwuk Banggai.

How do I become a Local Guides to promote Indonesian tourism (Indonesia Travel Bucket List Stories : Local Guides X Indonesian Ministry Of Tourism)

The name of the program is “SUSUR NUSANTARA” has a special agenda to revitalize the existence of tourist spots in Indonesia that are less exposed on social media. The West Side’s fame on social media is far less than the East side’s fame, where hashtags with locations in Bali, NTB, Sulawesi and Papua are always crowded with posts by local and international netizens.

I along with the team explored 8 destinations that are rarely exposed in Indonesia. I was officially invited to collaborate because I am a co-founder of Indonesia’s largest media on Instagram, @ExploreIndonesia, and also I am an alumni of the 2017 Local Guides Summit who are very active in helping local tourism in my residential areas, Sidoarjo and Surabaya.

Not only that, my job there is to photograph the beauty of the natural, cultural and regional heritage there. But it also helps to update the location with updated points of tourist attractions on Google Maps with the Local Guides program and Street View Trusted Photographer so that it will get maximum results.

My goal for sharing this story is to show my experience when traveling to unique places in Indonesia. And also helps provide insight to other global Local Guides friends. So, I will write my stories through the title “Indonesia Travel Bucket List Stories”.

Hopefully, one day, officially, @ExploreIndonesia and the Google Local Guides program also Google Maps can collaborate in Indonesia.
