Individual review count is not showing.

Hi all.

Most recently I posted that my Total View count of reviews and photos were not increasing.

And Thanks to @MashaPS

At present the total reviews and photo count have increased but still I am not pretty sure that they have increased up to date.

Currently I cannot see my individual reviews count in some of the reviews I made recently. Please note this is not in the case of every review but only for the ones I recently made.

Posting as a new discussion because when I searched this topic, the previous same issues were brought to notice few years back and discussions were closed.

Please let me know if it is also a known issue And if others too facing the same problem.

Sending screenshot of 3 pictures, out of them 2 pictures are those where no individual review count is there.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Hello @IshanJolly

I find there is no view count at the reviews two or three days old. However, I do see that at the ones more than a week older.

Updating of the view and likes count takes some time. That may range from a day to a week.

The different servers have to synchronise the data to offer an update.

Also, when some major modification to the app is under progress, that may delay further.

You have to wait and watch.

If nothing happens over a month, then raise the issue here again.

However, as per the past experience, the updating does happen at regular intervals without any need to raise a concern.

Hello Everyone. The last query I submitted here was almost 8 days ago where I mentioned that Individual review count was not showing. The problem still persist, but I am waiting patiently and checking on daily basis if the issue has been rectified or not. Mostly those reviews don’t show individual count which are either a week old or recently posted.

Thank you for the last reply @C_T

Just informing the same to the moderators and to the experts.

If someone can raise this issue it will be great help, Else ready to wait some more time. Ready to

do whatever experts will guide me in the same.

Thanks.

Hello @IshanJolly

Thanks for stating the problem once again.

However, I do find view counts at a week old reviews of the “Titlis Mountain” 4# & Tis Hazari telephone exchange 12#. I can see the aggregate view count also at the top. The total views are 27999. Is that figure static since you reported the problem in the previous week?

Also, have you viewed the count in your public profile?

Thanks for the reply @C_T

Yes Titlis is showing but if you check Ile aux Cerfs, Trou aux Cerfs, Chamarel Seven Colored Earth Geopark, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Fitness Image Mobile Personal Trainer these all were posted a week ago.

Police CGHS dispensary, Croma were posted 5 days ago. The individual view count is not available in these reviews.

As I said earlier it’s not a problem with every review but most of them.

Also find something interesting,I recently posted a review 5 days ago for Police CGHS dispensary kingsway camp. If you search this on Google maps the there are only 2 reviews. The photos which you can see on the cover of that place is mine but the review submitted is not there in public view. I just just checked the same on my wife Phone and it’s not visible.

Similarly some other places too which I mentioned above.

The total review count has increased but as mentioned some reviews are not displayed although cover photo is mine and individual review count ( maybe because it’s nit showing at public domain although it’s made publicly available at my end).

I request to take appropriate action and help me get a solution for it.

Thanks for your valuable time.

Hello @IshanJolly

I find seven reviews are now private. Nobody else can watch those and thus no question of view count update.

A review can become private if that does not conform to the policies as described here.

https://support.google.com/contributionpolicy/answer/7422880?hl=en

You have to edit those and remove any objectionable content.

Further, here’s some explanation of how the view count works.

When a viewer accesses a “POI” or “LG profile”, the reviews get pulled from the server and that increments the count.

Now for the first incidence to happen, the review has to be featured as no one bothers to sort those chronologically. Also if the POI is less popular, there wouldn’t be any views.

The second phenomenon to happen, your profile needs to be prominent so that visitors will access that frequently.

Thanks for letting me know that my seven reviews are now private also sharing me the link for the policies.

But the link is not showing those 7 reviews which I need to edit or maybe I cannot find it.

Can you please help me by sharing the exact link which can lead me directly to them and I

can check the same.

Hello @IshanJolly

There is no link to any help page which explains how to find a private review.

Easiest way is to compare the reviews on two devices through own login on one & somebody ease’s login on the other, & you are already doing that.

Automation is possible, however many people find that to be cumbersome. Still, you can refer one of my post on how to find that.

Thank you @C_T for helping me out. I am now working on my private reviews.

And thank you for the exceptional post about the tips to view your private post using Google Sheets.

I am following the same method now.

Thanks once again for all the guidance.
