India's first floating market and the third in Asia

Today I visited the first official floating market of India. On last Wednesday our Chief minister inaugurated this market here in Calcutta. The market is amazing. I have purchased few fresh vegetables. Prices are reasonable.

Muy buenas Fotos @DrShaunak , y en especial el hecho de ser el primer mercado flotante de ese sector de la India , cuéntanos qué motivó que lo creen, el que existe en tierra, no alcanza o este es más práctico para la gente.

@FaridTDF Gracias. En realidad, la idea de mercado flotante proviene del consejero de la ciudad, el Sr. Arup Chakraborty, después de haber visto uno en Bangkok en 2014. Eso lo inspira a construir un mercado flotante aquí en Calcuta. Calcuta tiene muchos mercados, algunos de ellos son viejos, algunos de ellos nuevos. Pero este es único.

Me encanta @DrShaunak , que buena iniciativa, para mi los mercados locales, tienen una gran atracción, siempre que estoy en una ciudad o pueblo que visito, deseo caminar por ellos, para conocerlos, ver cómo son, ver sus colores, sentir sus holores, soy de la idea que es donde realmente podemos conocer a la gente de un lugar.

Te propongo que realices una serie de todos los mercados de Calcuta (en caso que sea posible), nos cuentes un poco de ellos y nos compartas fotos. Podemos hacer un hilo nuevo como “Los mercados del mundo” y allí postear cada uno lo que tenga de cada pais.

Yesterday I went to visit the floating market near Patuli. After seeing your photos we became interested to go there. It’s a totally different experience to buy vegetables from this market than the normal market. Here are some more photos :

a really amazing floating market. It is pretty interesting to see how the space can be managed, moving everything out of the traffic.
