Hello LGs let me take the pleasure of inviting you all to the grand festivity in India which we also called as Wedding or “Shaadi” in Hindi.

India is culturally so varied that there different way in which it is done. This post is about how a hindu rajasthani wedding takes place. It is 2/3 days long affair, with almost 2 separate functions each day. All the functions are celebrated at both bride’s and groom’s place .

Family, extended family, cousins, friends all gear up for the big day and rituals begin with worshipping Lord Ganesha ,which is supposed to believe any hurdles if it might come through.

In the evening, bride and bridesmaid get ready to adorn beautifully patterned henna “Mehndi” on their hands and feet. Its again a 4-5 hours long event where everyone wears green coloured beautiful clothes to match colour of heena. Bride wears soft floral jewellery for the occasion.

Next day early morning begins with Haldi function, where all family, relatives cousins apply turmeric paste “haldi” to bride and groom so they get extra glow and are ready for the big day. While some people apply haldi to bride and groom others enjoy song dance and various fun activites.

Well it has just begin…Functions has started and excitment is building up …there is lot lot more to indian wedding …strange ritulas, colourful dresses, family ,food,get-togehter and what not .

Leaving you with a fun pic …There is one more day to go for wedding Let me know through comments if you want to know more about this local story from India. Love you all.
