Indian Street Food Series : Kheema Paav

After receiving great response on my first post on indian street food , I thought to put a weekly series on Indian Street Food .

As India is rich in food culture , I have planned to curate a list on it.

Hopefully you will like this series.

So this week’s snack is Kheema Paav.

Apopular street food in India, Kheema or Keema Pav is a robust, peppery curry dish made with minced chicken or lamb cooked with onion, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and earthy spices! Served with lightly toasted buns or pav laden with butter on the griddle makes a blissful meal!

Also known as Keema or Queema, Kheema is a Urdu word for minced meat such as chicken, lamb, beef, etc. The word Kheema means ground meat and it also means a spicy curry made with ground chicken often served with paav which are similar to hamburger buns/potato rolls.

Enjoy today meal and do comment what are your favourite street foods from your town ?

Hello @NikitaVatsavayi ,

Nice post! The food looks delicious. I have heard many times from my Indian friends that the street food in India is amazing. I hope to get the chance to try it myself one day. Which one do you recommend the most for those who do not have much experience trying Indian street food.

Since you like photographing food, I thought you might like to check this post: the best photography tips for food.

I look forward to the remaining posts from your food tour. :slightly_smiling_face:
