Indian Ocean at Tsitsikamma National Park on Garden Route in South Africa

Hi Friends,

A video journey of the Indian Ocean at Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve till the road is built. The rest of the journey from the car park is generally done on foot via mountain hikes and this is one of the most beautiful places in Garden Route. The suspension bridge is around 2kms walk and hike from this place.

There are so many options at this venue from stay options to good food to adventure sports - you can easily spend some days and nights here.

Next time if I have to go to a place on Garden Route, I will book accommodation here and stay for 5-6 days here and come back. I really loved this place and would definitely want to go back to nature, mountains, and the Indian Ocean. The video and pictures are taken using Canon 77D with a USM 18-135 mm kit lens. I also posted another post for the Suspension Bridge at this venue, do check that out too! Cheers!!!

Hi @TheLifesWay ,

Thanks for sharing this wonderful place with us! I always been fascinated by the ocean and South Africa is blessed having more than one. Are there any free animals in the Tsitsikamma National Park? :slightly_smiling_face:

Your journey is very inspiring and you reminded me of this other road trip, almost on the other side of the globe: Viaggio in Scandinavia.

I can say - just Wow…! these are amazing views of the Indian Ocean from South Africa.

The video with background music is also nice @TheLifesWay

Google maps shows there is a suspension bridge nearby, so it will be interesting to read your article not that topic as well.

@Giu_DiB Thanks. Indeed they have Otters in quite a large number and that’s why they have named it Otter Trail which you cover over a span of 5 days once you prebook the whole hiking and trails. Cheers!!!

Wow! This is so good to read.

If you want to spend that long, it means there was something really striking about it.

What is that one thing (that if taken away) from this scenic beauty, you will not feel like returning here? @TheLifesWay

@Ewaade_3A You won’t be able to take the Indian Ocean away, nor mountains will go away! the only thing that can be taken away is the PEACE the place offers to your soul so that will be my answer. Thanks Aashish
