About -The Gorakhnath Math (Gorakhnath Mutt) is a temple of the Nath monastic group of the Nath tradition. The name Gorakhnath derives from the medieval saint, Gorakhnath (c. 11th century), a yogi who travelled widely across India and authored a number of texts that form a part of the canon of Nath Sampradaya. The Nath tradition was founded by guru Matsyendranath. History of Gorakhnath temple - Gorakhpur takes its name from Gorakhnath, who was a saint of the ‘Nath Sampradaya’. A shrine called Gorakhnath Mandir was built in his honour at the location where he practised his daily rituals. What we do in this meet-up :- Gorakhnath temple is one of the historical building in eastern up, We will be exploring, Taking stunning photos to help of the travellers, first We will meet near entry gate Then we will proceed towards main temple, Then bhim talab, bhim temple and after that many mote places to explore like “ramgarh taal” , “Railway museum” we enjoyed a lot in all those places and explore the beauty of Gorakhpur and enjoy these heritage places. And after that we eat the special food of Gorakhpur… Note: This Meetup involves a moderate amount of walking. Who can join:- Everyone What to bring :- Water bottle, Powerbanks, equipments or gazettes for photography if you have it, if not than you can bring whatever photography equipment you like or you can show up with just a mobile phone.
