Indian breakfast

Chhole bhature is often eaten as a breakfast dish, sometimes accompanied with lassi. However, it can also be a street food or a complete meal and may be accompanied by, for example, onions, carrot pickle, green chutney an achaar (pickle).

This is purely homemade and I’am trying to give a glimpse of it.

The bhatura is made of white flour and then deep fried in oil.

Choley is basically white chickpeas infused with spices and herbs.

What heavy breakfast meal do you have in your country?

Hello @Caveatindia

It looks like brown beans to me.

Is this dish proteinous?

In my country, especially in the Southeastern part, during breakfast we normally take light foods, like bread, egg and tea or beverages.

Sometime we take pap or custard either with bread or with bean cake.

What do you take for breakfast @To_paul @Ant_Bad_Yogi @OlgaKlimchik in your country. :yum:

They appear black because of all the spices and herbs added to the curry.

Chickpeas are great source of natural protein! I often take them for pre workout but simply boiled.

What kind of tea do you take for breakfast?

@Caveatindia @Austinelewex In Thailand, we eat anything we can find for breakfast. We don’t have any special or specific dishes for any meal.

@Caveatindia Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Hello @Caveatindia

Tempting information about the spicy dish.

Do you use any special types of equipment for the deep-frying?

BTW, also kudos for your contribution to Wiki on the same topic.

Greetings @C_T

It wasn’t spicy because we put different spices for flavor.

It a very flavorful tangy dish and we personally don’t use any professional equipment just regular pot.

Cheers :slightly_smiling_face:
