It’s great that you want to meet other Local Guides! What I suggest you to do is to check in here if there are any already organized Meet-Ups around you in the near future. If there aren’t any available currently you can create one yourself. You don’t know how to get started? Don’t worry, in this post you will find everything you need on how to create a Meet-Up.
Since you are new in Connect, here are some tips about being part of the community:
- It is very important to get familiar with the Local Guides rules and our Community policy
- The Help Desk board can give you lots on information if you cannot find the answers of your questions in the other boards
- Check the “Please read: Posting in” each board: General Discussion, Travel and Advice, Let’s Meet-Up, Photos and Discoveries and Photography
- Google Translate is enabled across the platform, so feel free to communicate in the language you feel most comfortable
- Share a bit about yourself into our introduction thread
- Please read Tips: Using Local Guides Connect for better understanding on the use of the community forum and to make the best use of your time here

Sounds great that you are interested in hosting a meetup. A Local Guides Meet-Up is an informal get-together with other Local Guides in your area. It’s a chance to meet like-minded people who are also passionate about exploring their world and sharing their discoveries on Google Maps.
