We WBLG local guides going to celebrate “Indian Independence Day 2021” on river Ganges. During the 
accessibility meetup we (Local Guides) we will travel by boat on Ganges and celebrate “Indian Independence Day 2021” 
on boat.
Shantipur “Ferry Service” is the only connector between Hooghly and Nadia district. One can reach from Guptipara (Hooghly) to Santipur (Nadia) and from Santipur (Nadia) to Guptipara (Hooghly) through the Shantipur “Ferry Service” and there are two boats and two jetty available here. Ferry service start from 6 a.m. in the morning and ferry service closes at 8 p.m. at night. Life jackets are available here and daily more than 1000 passengers avail the ferry services. So many people avail the service just for joy ride over the beautiful river Ganges (Bhagirothi). Anyone can avail the service to purchase a ticket of ferry service from ticket counter.
I have organized a accessibility meetup here. During the meetup we shall visit the place, taking pictures and check the accessibility of the place. Please come and join in our
“Independence Day Santipur Ferry-Ghat Accessibility Meetup” on 15th August, 2021 from 9.30 A.M. to 12.30 P.M. (IST) at Shantipur.

First we the local guides will meet at Guptipara Ghat, then we shall take a ferry boat to reach Santipur Ghat. During our travel on Ganges, we shall celebrate independence day on boat. After reaching the Santipur , we shall find the accessibility of Santipur Ferry Ghat.

- Wear mask and bring sanitizer.

(4) The event is free, but you have to buy boat ticket ( Boat ride on river Ganges).
(5) You will have to bring Indian national flag, tricolor band etc.
