So, the thing is I’ve received more than 1600 likes(1656 to be precise, yeah I counted :P) on my uploaded photos.
But, Google Maps reflects only 217 likes in total.
I don’t know where the problem exists, but it is very disheartening to know that likes are nearly one-eighth of total likes.
Whole Local Guide Community will love it if this issue gets resolved.

The incorrect count of likes for photos is a known issue.
If you select another sort order, you will see yet another count.
Nevertheless, you can make a suggestion in the idea exchange to eliminate the discrepancy.

Having 1665 likes on only 296 photos is remarkable. Or a sign of someone gaming the system. I saw quite a few blurry pics under your public profile. You can find local guides with many more photos and a lot fewer photo likes.
Please be aware that self-liking is an issue that other local guides recently have experienced grave consequences for doing. All their photos were hidden by Google. If you have been self-liking or asked others to like your photos or reviews, I recommend such likes be removed ASAP. This will contribute to protecting your Local Guides account.

This is an obvious gaming of the system. Saw it many times, but I rarely ever saw something being done about it. Also, after checking on my own, and few image searches, found stolen photos.
