Incidencia a la hora de añadir fotografias nuevas en maps

@MortenCopenhagen Desde el pasado jueves 07/03/2024 he notado que cada vez que añado alguna foto desde el movil Android, no se publican mis fotos y tengo que añadirlas o subirlas desde el ordenador (PC), hoy domingo 10/03/2024 he vuelto a añadir fotos y un video, el video se se ha publicado sin problema, en cambio las fotos no, he tenido que hacerlo desde el ordenador.

@MortenCopenhagen espero o mas bien esperemos que google arregle pronto su problemas y nos dejen contribuir, salvo que todo esto sea para pagarnos por cada foto o video que publicamos, igual estan empaquetando un telefono Google Pixel 8 Pro para todos los usuarios, asi las fotos y videos sean cada dia mejores, jejejejejeje.

Al menos si subes un video desde el movil Android, Google Maps no lo impide, una foto o varias las sigue rechazando y tengo que subirla o subirlas desde el PC.

Espero que Google tenga sentido del humor // I hope Google has a sense of humor

@MortenCopenhagen Como ya comente el pasado 07/03/2024 he notado que cada vez que añado alguna foto desde el movil Android, no se publican mis fotos y tengo que añadirlas o subirlas desde el ordenador (PC), hoy martes 19/03/2024 he vuelto a añadir fotos desde el movil y mas tarde añadire o al menos intentare añadir un video, las fotos siguen sin poder añadirlas o subirlas desde el movil Android, he tenido que hacerlo desde el ordenador de nuevo como los ultimos 12 dias.

Desde hace tres días no se publican mis nuevas fotos en Google Maps, ni tampoco aparecen como rechazadas, simplemente no existen. Las nuevas reseñas aparecen como publicándose.

Yo creo que lo que quieren es que las fotos y las reseñas las publique la IA.

Están acabando con la paciencia de muchos Local Guides.

There is a known issue with uploading pics from the Android app. Try using a computer until this get fixed.

Hola @Carchi , no entiendo el que pretendas una remuneración, por el aporte que hacemos todos en forma solidaria en bien de todos. Simplemente lo hacemos con el fin de beneficiar a que una persona, en base a nuestras reseñas fotografías u opiniones más las características, que podamos verificar, por ejemplo, el acceso universal a un sitio o PDI. Este no es un sitio para monetizar nuestros aportes.

Desde ya, mis disculpas, si la respuesta no era la esperada.

Hay que tener cuidado con las valoraciones y leer bien los posts.

Después de unos cuantos años de Local Guide y alcanzar el nivel 10 evidentemente no busco ninguna remuneración económica.

Recent photos uploaded on Google Maps are not showing on my Local Guide Profile (account in good standing). Bug? Please advise.

For the last 3-4 weeks I have been unable to upload photos. In the past after uploading an image, I got the “+x points” confirmation.

Now when I upload a photo, I just get a “Thank you for improving Google Maps!” without any points. The images also never show up in my profile. The photos are not inappropriate as they are just photos of food. Thanks.

Edit: I just tried uploading an image through the desktop version of Google Maps and I think it worked. It would be great if it worked on mobile as well.

Hi @MozzyFX , thank you for letting us know about this. Personally I haven’t faced this problem but I’m sure other Connect Moderators can help you with this. You mentioned that uploading photos from desktop was successful but not from phone. In such case, can you check if there is any problem with the app? I usually restart my phone and also check if the app is updated for any such problems.

The app is updated. The phone is a Google Pixel 7 Pro and I have restarted it. I think it’s something on Google’s side due to it only being the confirmation screen that has visually changed.

One of my friends, who is also on a Pixel 7 Pro is able to upload images on the mobile app. They get the usual confirmation screen with the points and such.

Hi @MozzyFX , this is a known issue, report already by several Local Guides, including myself.

The team has been informed and is investigating about the issue, that seems to happens on the App only. In fact I am uploading photos from desktop too in this moment.

The pop-up with a thanks message is most probably not related to the issue.

We made several checks, and the points are attributed also when we just receive the “thank you” message only, apart of course of the points for the photos (if not uploaded)

This issue should be fixed now. Could you please update the app if a new version is available, and try uploading photos? Let us know if the issue is still ongoing.

I can confirm that on my side the issue is no longer presents.

I’ve just tested all the possibility for adding photos, and everything works fine

I wanted to update this thread and let you know that the issue has been resolved. You should now be able to upload photos via the mobile Maps app. :tada:
