In search of Irish heritage places across the world.

HI there! I have a passion for traveling! Obviously, like most of us here =)

Just a few words on how my Local guide adventure started. We had a quick trip to ancient castles in western Ukraine and I decided that it is a good idea to show photos of places, food and things that come across not only with my friends , but also with the whole world. After a few comments and photos here and there I was surprised by the amount of views and likes and from that time I keep posting things in my spare time.
Even though I am Ukrainian by origin, I am a die-hard fan of Irish culture. Everything that is related to pubs, music, dances, Celts and ginger hair always wins my attention. So I always compare such places in different cities and countries and I am still searching for a perfect place that will steal my heart. The most obvious thing is to check in Ireland, yet I haven’t been there. Hope that someday I will make it and have a wonderful day there, just like in “Galway girl” music video by Ed Sheeran.
Since my early childhood, I always was fascinated by castles and towers. Some time ago I even participated in historical martial arts festivals and performances. What is your favorite historical place? Mine so far is Ogrodzieniec castle in Poland. I advice to visit it in gloomy weather, it looks a lot like Witcher 3 setting =)
So, I wish you all to find your perfect places and share them online with other seekers! Happy ongoing St. Patrick’s day!

It’s so great to hear about your love for Ireland! I’m an Irish local guide and I’d strongly recommend Kilkenny City in Ireland. Dublin is great but Kilkenny really takes you back in time. Kilkenny Castle is a beautiful (Anglo-Norman I believe) castle and you can take a tour inside.

Wow, thanks a lot . I am ashamed to acknowledge, but almost all I knew about Kilkenny was a beer brand and a legend about cats

I googled some photos and interesting places and it so so adorable! Fell in love from the first sight. Thanks a lot, this will be my number one destination in the future.

You made my day and I hope yours will be amazing as well!
