Let’s Explore Bukit Cendono Together!
Hi Local Guides! ![]()
What if we spend our Saturday morning doing something simple but meaningful?
Hiking together,
enjoying the view from Puncak Bukit Cendono,
taking some photos along the way,
meeting and connecting with fellow Local Guides,
and this time…
giving a little something back to the trail.
I’m inviting you to join me for a tektok hike to Puncak Bukit Cendono, Mojokerto, on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
We’ll start in the morning, hike up together, enjoy some time at the summit, take photos, and then make our way back down around midday/afternoon.
And there’s a special reason why we’re doing a little more on the way down. ![]()
September 19 is World Cleanup Day!
So, while descending, we’ll have a simple Cleanup Challenge — picking up safe and lightweight litter that we find along the trail and carrying it down with us.
Nothing complicated. No pressure. No competition.
Just a small effort to help keep the trail we enjoy a little cleaner. ![]()

Midday — Cleanup Challenge
After enjoying the summit, we’ll start our descent.
This is where our World Cleanup Day Challenge begins. ![]()
![]()
As we walk down:
See it — spot safe litter along the trail
Pick it up — collect what is safe to handle
Take it down — bring it with us until we reach the bottom
A few pieces from each person can already make a difference when we do it together. ![]()
Afternoon — Wrap Up
Finish the hike
Dispose of the collected litter properly
Take a final photo if there’s a good opportunity
Say goodbye and wrap up the meetup
The schedule may change depending on weather, trail conditions, and the pace of the group.
World Cleanup Day Challenge
See it. Pick it up. Take it down.
Since our meetup happens on World Cleanup Day, let’s turn part of our hike into a small act of care for the environment.
This isn’t a competition to see who can collect the most trash. ![]()
It’s simply an invitation to be more aware of our surroundings and help whenever we can.
One person picks up one piece.
A group can make a bigger difference.
Please prioritize safety. Do not pick up sharp objects, hazardous materials, unknown substances, or anything that may be dangerous to handle. If something isn’t safe to pick up, simply leave it and let the host know.
A Little Summit Photo Session
One of the things I always enjoy about hiking meetups is seeing the experience through everyone’s camera. ![]()
So at the summit, let’s take some time for:
Landscape photos
Summit shots
Individual photos
Group photo
Candid moments
Photos of the journey and surroundings
Bring your smartphone or camera and capture the mountain from your own perspective.
Who knows, maybe one of those photos will become your next favorite Maps contribution. ![]()
What Should You Bring?
Nothing too complicated — just come prepared for a morning hike.
Comfortable hiking shoes
Small daypack
Enough drinking water
Personal snacks / food
Hat or cap
Sunscreen
Light jacket / rain protection
Gloves for the Cleanup Challenge
Small reusable trash/collection bag
Smartphone or camera
Power bank
Personal necessities / medication
And of course:
Please bring your own waste back down with you.
Let’s Make It More Than Just a Hike
For me, a meetup doesn’t always have to be a big event.
Sometimes, it’s simply about walking together, sharing stories, taking photos, discovering a place, and doing one small good thing along the way.
This time, let’s explore Bukit Cendono together — and while we’re there, let’s leave the trail a little better than we found it. ![]()
Explore the trail.
Connect with people.
Capture the moments.
Clean as we go.
I hope to see you there!
See you on the trail, Local Guides! ![]()
