What We Will Focus On as Local Guides

  • Map Updates & Edits: Add missing historical structures, verify opening hours, update exact GPS pin locations, and submit clear, high-quality photos.

  • Accessibility Audits: Tag wheelchair-accessible pathways, ramps, and entrances across key monuments.

  • Sustainability Check: Note eco-friendly initiatives, availability of dustbins, cleanliness level of stepwells, and single-use plastic disposal options to help future eco-conscious visitors.

  • Community & Halloween Fun: Share eerie stories surrounding the park and celebrate Halloween with fellow mappers!

What to Bring

  • A positive attitude.
  • Fully charged smartphone with Google Maps installed & a high-capacity power bank.
  • Reusable water bottle (let’s keep this a zero-waste meet-up!).
  • Comfortable walking shoes (we will cover 2–3 km on foot across uneven ground).
  • Subtle Halloween props, hats, or masks (optional, keep it lightweight and park-friendly).

We will be walking through a carefully curated trail covering some of the most fascinating historical and folklore-rich spots:

  • Jamali Kamali Mosque & Tomb: Known for its stunning ornamentation and whispered legends of spectral presences.

  • The Historic Rajaon ki Baoli (Stepwell): A gorgeous hidden water structure wrapped in geometric symmetry and shadows.

  • Balban’s Tomb: The site of one of India’s earliest true domes and atmospheric ancient ruins.

  • The Rose Garden & Trails: A serene contrast of flora weaving through centuries-old remnants.

:hot_beverage: Activities & Highlights

  • Heritage & Architectural Photography Walk: Capture the rustic textures, dramatic twilight lighting, and medieval grandeur for Google Maps.

  • What’s New on Google Maps: A quick discussion and knowledge-sharing session on recent feature updates, mapping tips, and keeping our local data accurate.

  • Chai Shai Gupshup & Picnic: A cozy community break for tea, snacks, and lively chit-chat amidst the ancient ruins!

:ghost: Dress Code / Theme (Optional!)
Feel free to lean into the Halloween spirit! Wear something in autumn or gothic hues, or bring along a fun prop for our group photos.

Let’s make this another fantastic, community-driven gathering filled with learning, laughter, and great mapping. RSVP below and let us know if you’re joining!

Looking forward to seeing you all there! :sparkles:

Thank you for your support @TusharSuradkar if there is no network issue will surely connect online

Yes, deep inside Meharauli Park, the connectivity could be a challenge.

During my last visit there, I could locate all the places you mentioned, except the Balban Tomb.

Without a network connection, it was an offline exploration, @ShreyaMusings
