In my memories. EP.02:LAOS:Luang Prabang #TBT

Sa-Bai-Dee.

Today I would like to greet everyone in Laos style. In Laos, Sabaidee is used as a generic greeting in the same way that Sa-Was-Dee is used in Thailand. But Sabaidee in Thai means “to be well”

I’d been Laos for 5Days 4Night. Luang Prabang 2nights, and Vientiane2nights. I traveled to the Thai-Lao border by sleeping train.

then change by high-speed train from Vientiane to Luang Prabang.

Buying high-speed train tickets in Laos. You must purchase through an agent. Or you can buy it yourself 3 days in advance.

On the train there are food for sale. (Exchange rate USD to KIP about 1usd : 16,500 kip)

It takes approximately 2 hours to travel from Vientiane to Luang Prabang.

The private car that I had reserved was waiting here to take us to the hotel. It takes about 30 minutes to arrive. In the part of the hotel I’ll skip it. It was an unimpressive experience.

The first thing we did after tackling the accommodation issue was to go for traditional Laos food.

After eating We walked back to the hotel to rest. and will come out to walk in the popular night market again tonight.

Luang Prabang has everything a traveler needs: culture, modernity, comfort. Here still maintains the nature of life. In the morning you will still see old people who get up early to come and offer food to monks. And, of course, the indispensable thing when coming to Giving alms to sticky rice.

Tomorrow morning I booked a one day tour, hope to have time to come back and share more impressions with you guys. And I still have many more photo that I want you to see. If you like it, please follow my instagram

Thank you for reading and joining the discussion in my post. See you in the next post.
