In my garden

I like the moss because most of people don’t give anything for them but the biologist know they matters. They indicate that the place usually receive a lot of water when they have moss.

We have here also a lot of spiders. I couldn’t take a better photo from this one because its web is large, if I got closer I could destroy it.

But it’s interesting to see how they make a community: a lot group of spider each one in its own web, but close to the others.

We have some fruits here too.

Lichen is what indicate that the air is pure at the place. I know that living in the big city we have poor air quality. But in my house we have a lot of trees that help to maintain some quality here and in the neighborhood.

I love the environment that my garden provides. We have a lot of trees and animals. We just have to be patiente and go look for what nature has for us. It can be a therapy!

That is really so amazing of you that you take that much good care of the garden you own.

It really takes time to devote time on things we love, so people don’t realise it coz they have different priorities in life.

But I’ll say you really are doing great job and keep doing it.

It really add value to green earth and people reading this, It add value to people’s mind too :))

I have not seen moss after I left my primary school. During my primary school life, there was a water drain for irrigation beside my school building. I that drain I saw moss and I liked to pull them out from the wall of the drain while making gossip with friends. Thanks for bringing my boyhood back @rebecaellerf . A great post indeed. You got big spiders in your garden also. Photo the butterfly in the post is also great. What fruit is that?

Hello @rebecaellerf thanks for sharing. It’s pleasant to read your post . About your care for the natural environment. The Moses , spiders , fruits and lichen make it all interesting. I grow up in suburb where we have empty land , partly for garden farm and the rest, it’s just bush. Some plants , I like , some I dislike. Growing up now, I understand Moss, lichen , frogs ,snake are part of the ecosystem. I find your post interesting because you write about Moss and lichen. knowing that there is someone who appreciate their existence is quite pleasant.

Hola @rebecaellerf

You have really an adorable garden. I must tell you something. I was always fascinated by moss as a kid because it looked for me like a miniature jungle. There is soil, there are plants and it’s moisture and grows on trees and on stone. The older kids know it, we used to collect bugs and other creatures in a bucket. But that was back in the Kindergarden  the littlest piece of nature made us living a little adventure, like seeing how spiders love to wrap their prey. And again and again.

May I ask how big your garden is?

It looks really deep green and fresh. Is it south America?

I have done a biology degree and studied all kinds of mosses i.e. sphagnum is especially interesting. It is also known as a biological indicator, as it can tell air quality, amounts of water and kinds of pollutants present. Well done for liking moss!

I assume that when I was a kid, I didn’t pay attention to moss. But I was fascinated at university when I saw there are so many different types.

My garden is really big and have a lot of trees. Yes, I’m in Brazil.

Thank you @JacobLED
