We all are familiar with adding Reviews and Picture on Google Maps. But have we ever wondered how useful it is for others?.
I believe, most of reviews we make on Google Maps are missing few key components because as humans we tend ignore the little details that mattered and only focus on writing the most memorable part of our experience. I think these missing details are the key to a better experience.
Let me give you an example so you can better understand what I mean.
Here I have reviewed the “Maha Eliya Wildlife Bungalow” located on a wildlife park in Sri Lanka. This place ridiculously hard to book ,specially if you are tourist and conditions are poor. But after visiting this place you will ignore everything else because of the experience with nature.
This is what I have written:
“This is wonderful place for nature lovers.This place is usually booked, so be sure to book in advance. Park entrance fee for individuals is waived off for the booking. You will only pay for the vehicle.
(We booked this place 2 months before , I postponed several other booking due to this. So this is one key piece of information. if you are traveling with an agent they charge you separately for park tickets beforehand. So I have included “Park entrance fee for individuals is waived off for the booking” so you wont get ripped off.
Place has 3 rooms with 2 non attached bathrooms (only one has hot water). Three rooms can accommodate 10 people. (It was around 5500 LKR at the time of writing). Rooms are basic and there is no electrical outlets ,so take your powerbanks ​with you. Everything is running on solar power.
(I have included detail information about rooms so anyone interested can plan well in advance. Specially the fact that it does not have any electrical outlets, imagine visiting this place and finding out there is no electrical outlets.)
There is a caretaker who can prepare food for you. Nearest town is about 20 km away so remember to take your ingredients. Kitchen had the basic spices and oil. Remember to tip the caretaker when you leave.
Experiencing Wild sambar will be the highlight of this stay.They walk very close to the place. They seems to love biscuits 
. You can see many birds in the morning.

Now let’s take a look at some other comments;
Did you notice that most of these comments have a high rating which means their experience was a good one , but it’s really hard for new person to get an detail understanding.
As I said earlier, as humans we tend to ignore most routine tasks and just focus on the highlights .so when we begin writing a review all the little details does not even come to our minds. So next time you begin writing a review take a moment to go little deeper and include as much details as possible.

Imagine being able to help someone just by writing a small review, Imagine that person not going through all trouble you had to face . Even though you won’t get a personal thank you , I am sure someone , somewhere is thankful for your review.
