Impacts of feedbacks

I have been contributing to Local Guide for approximately a year.

The Local Guide chapter of my life really started after visiting a big furniture store. I expericenced such a huge difference compared to another store that I screamed and I felt the need to share it with others.

Since I love to write and to express my opinion, all this is more important to me, than how many people read them, but of course it feels good when I get positive feedback about them.
It’s just good to describe what I think of a place. I usually visit cafes, confectioneries, restaurants, shops, hotels, arboretums.

The specialty of these places is that they have ethos. They believe in what they do. And I believe in these intentions.

However, if I already share my thoughts, I let that opinion be useful, accurate, and thought-provoking.
Useful for the place and for consumers and customers.

There are plenty of good places in Budapest and Hungary but most of them could be much better.
A sincere opinion may be bad at first for a place or a business, but in the long run, if they think about it, consider it and possibly change it, can help them.
As a teacher I get a lot of feedback and criticism. These often hit me very badly but thanks to them I learn a lot and I am a better teacher now than I used to be.
However, I have to be careful about which places I evaluate, because I have already experienced unkind behaviour in a shop as a result of my honest opinion. They almost refused their service since I wrote a negative review about them. Since the I can’t risk being honest in places I regularly visit. This makes me sad.

On the other hand, there are the customers who I also try to help.

And really personal recommandations are more useful when people want to choose their destinations.
For a long time, my wife has used these reviews and indeed, the places we find this way are much more reliable than the places that are otherwise recommended.
Anyway, I’m sure my intentions will evolve over time, and I’ll see some rhythm in this Local Guide, and I’ll use it even more purposefully then.
