Impact that returns Home

We’ve all been there - we’re in a new city, a new country or even just a new part of town. We’re unfamiliar, and we have no idea where to go. Printed maps have long gone out of date and the electronic terminals around the city don’t work half the time. What do we turn to? Google Maps. ( I mean… this would be the first thing I turn to, honestly )

Something that I find to be very satisfying about being a local guide is the reward you get out of contributing to the network of information that may help other people. If you make a poor review or post inaccurate information, you’ll end up possibly ruining someone’s day. However, if you make a fantastic review and post wonderful pictures and information about places, it’s very likely that there will be someone out there that benefits from your work. Now what makes being a local guide FANTASTIC, is that very fact, the fact that the people you impact may end up recognizing your impact. As my time so far as local guide, there have been many occasions in my home town where friends of friends and even immediate friends have seen my reviews and have directly contacted me about them. I think that this is what makes local guides worth being a part of. You can see visible impact and even see it return to your very Home.

What drives you to be a local guide?
