Wonderful Church to visit in Washington DC. It tells several stories of the Catholic Church around the world.
Wow! I will really love to be in this place, to feel the serenity of this place. You have aptly described it too.

Is D.C. filled with such huge monuments? Is this place you are talking about same as the Basilica?
I was there many years ago and loved it there.

abs,
There are so many sites to see while visiting Washington, DC; it is my place of birth 72 years ago. Another fabulous church to visit would be the National Cathedral in Georgetown. Howard University, American University, and Georgetown Universities as well.
I miss my hometown, but my life is now in the Tampa, FL area.
Enjoy your visit to the District of Columbia and get out and explore Maryland and Virginia while you’re there!
