Can i upload same images at more than one place??? can google penalize me for this??

@PrashantPr Do not post same image at multiple places.Earlier i replied from different point of view which was correct at some places. But that doesn’t suits here.

I personally refrain from using the same image for multiple places because it could possibly be seen as spam. I take each photo at each specific location to avoid this.

Photos that do not adhere to Google Maps Contributed Content policy will be made private and are only visible to you - view counts for these reviews do not count towards the total review view counts. You can take a look at About our policies and Prohibited and Restricted Content.
In short, you shouldn’t upload same photos multiple times, nor post same photos in different places.
P.S.: Since what you are raising is a question, I will move it into the board of How-tos.

It is mine and taken by me only… Since it have more than one place so thinking to upload it at both the places… And so I asked…

You are making a mistake when you are advising other local guides that they are welcome to post the same image to several places as long as they have the copyrights to the image. This you can easily be penalized for, so I suggest that you remove or correct your two posts about this.

@MortenCopenhagen I will erase my wordings… but as the poster said…the images are owned by him and he have the authority to post them. I just want to raise a query here…if i visit a place or eat a different dish and click only one photo of it. Then is it wrong to post the same photo whenever i need to?

I’m not questioning the owners copyrights, only whether he/we can post the same image more than once on Google Maps.

hi… @MortenCopenhagen …sorry for the long delay… can you clarify this one too… what if suppose i added some photo at any place say the location is Zoo… I added some photos at here… now after 15-20 days i realized this zoo area need some more detailing like where the which animal is… now earlier i uploaded all images in zoo section… now when i added some more detailing i need that images particularly here in each category… so i uploaded some of the same images which i used earlier… now is this cause any problem…??? because this is what i did exactly… now i am afraid is this impact on my local guide account… i hope you will reply…

Do I understand correctly that you uploaded some photos to a zoo. 2 weeks later you realize that different areas inside the zoo have their own POI. And then you choose also to upload the same pictures to those pins. Correct?
That is certainly ok if you make sure to also delete the same images posted to the entire zoo.
Waiting 2 weeks does not legitimate duplicate posting of pictures.

Yes @MortenCopenhagen You are absolutely right… i did the same… do i need to delete duplicate images uploaded on zoo or let it be as like as it is now… difference of both uploaded images is 3weeks i think…

Yes, we are not allowed to double post pictures leaving time between uploads is not a valid excuse.
Please delete so only one of each remain.

Yes of cause your points and views will go down when you delete pictures. But you made the mistakes in the first place. If you had posted the zoo pictures to the correct pins in the first place you would not be loosing any views.
