I’m shadow banned. Fix it pleas
Hi @skier31415
I created a new topic for your question as is was unrelated to the topic where you added it.
If you want help you will need to un-restrict your Maps profile temporarily.
Your screenshot seems to be from Google Search and not Google Maps.
I unrestricted my profile. It seemed to be a local result, I didnt think google search has a reviews feature except for google maps.
and my profile in the screenshot says I have 89 reviews and xxx photos, which is associated with my maps account, not google search
Thanks for opening your profile.
You have added 117 reviews total. But only 93 are currently public. So 24 got taken down.
And 25 of your media are hidden.
20% hidden reviews is relatively high.
Checking your public reviews for violations.
This alone can likely get you suspended from the LG program.
Personal attracts like this are grounds for getting your review taken down.
Please avoid adding selfies.
You could try using this form
By doing so you also risk getting more reviews taken down.
Feel free to restrict your profile again.
Am I going to get a response? The review doesnt show up on incognito.
Does google respond to these messages at all, or are they just an evil monopoly?
Why are you tagging a bunch of Googles. If you are not happy with me trying to help you, just let me know. I tried to politely explain potential reasons for your reviews getting taken down.
Your anger is clearly showing in your latest replies. I’m sorry but this will be my last reply in this discussion.
All those replies were before you tried “helping” it seems google doesnt want any negative reviews. They should be clear about that. Thanks for letting me know you’re doing nothing.
New reviews that have no violations are being shadow banned.
@skier31415
You already received a clear answer by @MortenCopenhagen , I am writing only to inform you that I just merged some of the replies to posted on unrelated topics or in very old thread.
Posting a dozen replies in topics that are very old or unrelated to your issue will not help you to fix the issue
This is interesting, considering that 17 of your visible reviews are 1 star, and 5 are 2 stars.
Morten already shared with you the form for appealing
You’re saying I kept replying irrelevant things, I didnt get a reply until today, so apparently writing a number of times worked. What do you have to say about the shadow ban of the new reviews?
OK. When I posted, they were visible to me when logged in, and invisible in incognito. Maybe they should show up as “pending” and not “published” when logged in to remove confusion.
No, I said
No, what worked was simply the fact that @MortenCopenhagen was tracking some of the old post. Creating a new topic (which is what Morten did by moving some of your posts) would have worked much better, and you would have received a reply much faster.
I agree with you. Google Maps do this in the EU, because it’s requested by a European Law. Hopefully it will be extended to the rest of the world.
Now, back to your isse:
- You are able to post reviews, even with a very law rating
- The issue is not in a restriction of your account, but it’s simply related to the content of the hidden reviews.
- Of course you can appeal, but as Morten said some of your reviews are at risk, and with a human check may be removed too
- The best way to have a review re-published is to edit it, and remove every content that can potentially be filtered.
It doesn’t matter if some harsh word is what the business owner said to you, the filter will block the review in any case. Replacing that text with “racist words” may let the readers understand what was going on in the same way.
