I became a 9th level guide today. This makes me happy and I am motivated. Although I don’t get any pins 
but there are other things that make me sad, maybe it makes you sad as well. Some people like the one I shared below don’t make any correct contribution, but upload tens of thousands of pictures and reach level 10. This is a bit It lowers my motivation, I hope Google will take action against these accounts and we will not lose our motivation.

As a Local Guides we should follow a strictly program rules.
I know it was not easy to reach level 9.
Uploading so many photos and reach level ten is not easy too.
The more you upload photos the more possibility of violating program rules by accident.
If your photos violatong the Program Rules you can be suspended as a Local Guides.
So my recommendation is be yourself and keep on contributing.
You will reach level 10 too.
Keep on contributing on Google Maps and here on Local Guides Connect.

In my opinion, those pins are just a matter of luck. I you’re lucky enough, you will get your pin. Or socks. Or tote bag, etc.
About the photos contribution, it’s fine to contribute only photos to Maps. Or ratings. Or reviews, without sharing other kind of contribution, as long as that’s good photos (not infringed any Google’s rules).
But… if you think those photos are infringes Google’s rules, you could simply flag and report them.

We doesn’t know that they will be suspended or not tommorow, no one know.
I face plenty Local Guides like that in social media and real life.
Level 10 is not something to becompared.

It doesn’t matter you’re on level 10 or 4 as long as our contribution is eligible. This will help other Maps’ users.
