Idioma

Porque não consigo adicionar o Idioma Português através do meu smartphone?

Na lista de idiomas vai só até Espanhol.

Hi @angelamoz

I am very lucky that the two languages I use are both located early in the alfabet (Danish and English).

The problem is that the mobile screen is too small to show all the languages available.

You can try to tilt your phone to the wide (landscape) orientation and hopefully the Portuguese option will fit on your screen.

Else you might need to request the Desktop version in your browser to reach the languages furtherst to the right.

Fingers crossed.

Morten

Hello @angelamoz

There are many discussions in the Connect site on the problem mentioned by you. However, any official solution is not in sight till date.

There are workarounds as mentioned by @MortenCopenhagen . Nevertheless, those are cumbersome.

However, here is a still simpler solution. However, for that, you have to open Connect in the browser only and not in the pseudo app.

Next, click the three dots at the top and select translate. Another menu will appear at the bottom. Hopefully, you are using Portuguese as default language on your phone. Then you will find that as an option for translation along with English. Else, click another set of three dots adjacent to that and select any other language of your choice. Here’s is a screenshot when I set the default language as Marathi

With that, you will never face a problem in translating.

Please note, Marathi is not reachable in the conventional panel displayed in Connect as still, I could translate that without switching to either landscape mode or desktop site.

O idioma ainda não aparece, mesmo na orientação horizontal.

Eu dificilmente acesso via laptop ou computador.

Hi @angelamoz

Sorry about that. There’s is a known issue with the selection of the language.

Just a few days ago I have requested a change for adding a scrollbar (Add a scrollbar on the language selection of the translator in Connect )

In any case there is a simple way that worked for me, to bypass the issue: setting chrome on your own language. In this way your language will appear on the first position when you need to translate a content.

For the settings of Chrome tap on the three dots on the top right corner, then tap on settings and scroll down to Language, to modify your actual settings
