The Cotswold countryside offers a serene ambiance and an opportunity to immerse oneself in a 19th-century setting. The picturesque Arlington Row cottages, featured in numerous films such as “Bridget Jones Diary” and “Stardust” due to their romantic charm, also exude an air of fantasy and provide a perfect backdrop for a fantasy genre film. The architecture of the cottages, with its unique design elements, evokes comparisons to the Hobbits, adding a hint of magic to the setting.
Wow! It does really look like a movie set or a place from another time @hlin454 ! I’d love to know more about this area.
What do the surroundings look like? Is it still just cottages where people live or is it more touristic or commercialized? Are there thematic cafes nearby maybe, that sell things related to any of the movies made there?
@Jesi , the street is a row of traditional cottages built during the 14th century for the local weavers. Some people still live in houses. The road is one of the most popular locations for tourists in the UK. Would you like to connect with me on Google Guide, Twitter, and Instagram?
Yes it is one ideal movie scene unveiled @hlin454 .I remenber myself watching the movie Britget Jones’ Diary ,starred by Rennee’ Zellwegger and I thought that it had a little bit of magic…And I already know why. That place has everything to host a movie about the Royals ,like the "More than 1000 Henri’s VIII grand grandchildren,"don’t you think so?.
@hlin454 The picturesque view of the cottages and the surrounding countryside is breathtaking and could be used to create an extraordinary atmosphere within a movie. It’s easy to imagine a romantic scene here, with a beautiful sunset, gentle music, and a couple walking hand in hand. I’m sure this would make for a memorable and romantic movie moment! Thanks for shearing!
