Because of my love for nature, I decided to continue my adventure of Parks and historical place to Idanre hill in Ondo state. Idanre is fifteen kilometres from the Akure, the state capital, southwest Nigeria. The ancient town is on the hills top while the new town settlement is at the base of the hills. This hill is 3000 feet above the sea level and it is one of the designated by UNESCO as World Heritage site in October 2007.
The hill is steep-sided, smooth and dome-shaped in nature, so there are six hundred and sixty seven steps to the top of the hill which was constructed by the state government to make the access to the top easy. There are four breathers to makes the adventure less stressful.
My Seventy four year old father and my mother decided to join me in the adventure.
