I'd like to Report a Local Guide

I have a review for my company from a local guide, but the local guide think I have a actual shop. I only have a webshop.

So I only got a one star rating.
What can I do about it?

Thanks!!

Hello @damnsharp ,

Thank you for reaching out.

Please note that for all business related activities, it would be best if you reach out to the Google My Business Help Forum. You can also use their Twitter and Facebook pages to report this.

If you are not familiar with what Google My Business is and you want to learn more about this program, feel free to check their official page.

If you want to report a problem you are having with reviews, please follow the instructions in the following article Flag inappropriate reviews.

I hope this helps!

Thanks @MoniDi for quick reply. I tried flagging the review a few times months ago but did not change anything. Also through My Business nothing.
So now I twittered to googlemybiz so hopefully that will help.

Hello @damnsharp ,

One important thing I haven’t mentioned in my previous reply is that you cannot add an online-only business on the map. Please read carefully this helpful article on the topic Places you can’t add to the map.

And last but not least, keep in mind that Connect is a place where you can participate as an individual and not a brand or business.

@damnsharp

Have you tried to check your business on incognito mode?

I can’t see any "one :star2: " in your place, but only 9 reviews with 4 and 5 stars

BTW, please keep in mind that, as indicated by @MoniDi , participate to the program as a business is against the Local Guides Program Terms and Conditions

Thanks @ErmesT for checking this. I didn’t mentioned but it was for a web shop I administer, Dutch-Clogs.com and it has no physical shop. So for that site I wanted to contact the Local Guide who gave a 1 star. But it seems to be very difficult…

About Google My Business Help, can they actually help with a Local Guide rating? And how than?

Well, as @MoniDi said, a web shop should not be on Maps, so the rest of the conversation will become honestly irrelevant, @damnsharp

The scope of Maps is to guide people to a Physical Location, not to be a storefront for virtual shops. If you are managing that listing, your duty should be to remove it from Maps. This will automatically solve your issue with reviews and stars because, as you said, the person wasn’t there, for the simple reason that nobody can be there. Do I need to add more?

Ah I did not understand it right, that makes sense. Thanks for reply @ErmesT

But it is actually possible to collect goods from the location, but only on appointment. Does that change something?

You should contact GMB for your last question @damnsharp , not the local guides Community. They are the only one legitimate to answer

I understand. Thx
