I would like to delete my edit requests (my contributions)...

Hello, i would like to delete my edit requests which is 17 times; i’m kinda obsessed with small things like my edits are not approved; so i want to hide or delete my edit requests at maps. But when i delete my local guide account and re-apply it; they come back. Are there are any option for deleting edit (name etc.) requests? There must be since it’s my information…

That’s a really good question.

Based on what is available the simple answer is: there is no method to delete those requests.

Seems that Google Maps wants everything to be transparent. When you look at your Google account everything is recorded: the amount of time you spend on the app, what you have added, what you have edited, and so on.

Possibly Google Maps wants us to take special care when we edit and add places/ photos and so on. When we turn on our Google Map App and the locator Google Map can verify if we have actually been there or not.

What you see and what the public sees are also different. There is your own personal account. Here you see everything that you have done and added.

Then there is the public view. In the public view, this is how your account appears to others looking at your account. You can request to hide your lists and other information, if you choose.

Essentially, when you add information, take a bit more time before adding the information. I have made a few mistakes myself and those mistakes sometimes confuse the Google May App / Algorithm. This may explain the reason for the specific numbers in each of the badges.

For example, we need to add 50 new places, new reviews, and new photos to the Trailblazer badge. Seems that Google Maps App wants to insure that we know how to add places properly. They want to make insure that useful and practical information is being updated.

Do it once. Do it well. Slow is the new fast.

Hope this helps.

Hello @MaximillianFoe

There is no way to undo/remove/recall an edit made by you. And I think we should be worried about our pending edits. Because we should try to suggest appropriate edits and if for any reason they are not approved/applied then it is fine. Because we suggested right info and the maps didn’t approve, so we have nothing to do.

Hi @MaximillianFoe ,

Please bear in mind that I’m going to remove the Turkish language tag from your post as it is in English. Only posts written in a specific language should have the corresponding label. To learn more about this kind of labels I recommend to take a look at the article How do I find posts in my preferred language?.

@O_Nate , I marked your answer as solution. The purpose of this feature is to help Local Guides find answers when searching on the Connect. Please take a look at: How do I mark comments as solutions? article.
