… the same for a Local Guide and Corto Maltese…

That being said I am not really an enigmatic and adventurous Sea captain like Corto Maltese ; but I do mix work an travels like him every days.

I am a nomad remote worker - a WordPress web developer - nice to meet you.

I use a combo of Google trips :heavy_plus_sign: Maps :heavy_plus_sign: Local Guide as a daily routine.

What I share with others then is related to my lifestyle ; when I am not busy working or networking in Meetups or business related events, I take time to discover the places I live in for a while.

I go to Museums, hang out with local comrades or simply I wander in the cities (yes I get lost from times to times ? ).

Normally I only share informations about a place, an event when I am happy about it.

I usually write reviews about co-working places I find on the way, do some facts checking too.

I also really like to share pictures ; I share often more pictures when I go sightseeing, visit museums or touristic spots.

I feel happy when I think I provide useful informations about a place, give an opinion - we only give opinions, right ?!

I personally make my mind or decide about where I am going after I read other persons’ reviews.

Then I guess it is quite easy to understand I feel all informations (facts checking), pictures, reviews I share could help someone.

Sincerity is the most important.

I mean I care about reviews from others ; what happens if we are not sincere ?!

I chose to get involved as a Local Guide and I think I can be more active in the community, it is a next step probably.

I hope we can meet on the way my friends !!

See you, take care,

Renan.

Ps. a few pictures below… #LoveTheWorld

Hi @RenanSavidan ,

Welcome to Local Guides Connect!

If you are interested you can read The 5 core values on Connect and check out the 14 helpful tips for using Connect. This will help you to interact better in the community. I would like to invite you to introduce yourself in our monthly topic.

I’m going to move your post to the Local Stories board on Connect where the Local Guides from all around the world share their local stories and impressions.

We urge our fellow Local Guides to write they’re own content because we value originality. For tips on creating your own great posts on Connect, I recommend you to read this article about original content guidelines on Connect. The photo you shared doesn’t seem to be your own, so please feel free to change it or give a proper credit to the author.

Hi @RenanSavidan,

I just wanted to let you know that I removed the accepted solution that was marked on my reply as it doesn’t answer any question or doesn’t solve any issue you might have.

The purpose of this feature is to help Local Guides find answers when searching on the Connect. You can take a look at: How do I mark comments as solutions.

Could you please confirm if the first photo in your post is your own?

You can tag Connect members in your posts by writing @ before their name. This way they receive a notification and know that you are trying to communicate with them directly.

Hi,

@KatyaL - sorry I didn’t answer because it was like a no-reply.

The picture is not mine, it a drawing from Hugo Pratt the author of the books - I wanted to ask you what is the best way to credit the author ?

And thanks for all tips, I will check the links.

Hey @RenanSavidan ,

No worries  Here in this link that I sent to you previously is described how you can give a credit to the author.

Give credit in the caption for images you have permission to use. In the photo caption, write, “(Courtesy of ‘Copyright Holder’s Name’).”

I hope this answers your question and if you ever have questions or just want to learn more about the Local Guides program, you can visit the Help Desk and search the community for answers.
