Hello Local Guides, last night I was receive email belong to Google Events: [email address redacted], send invitations to Local Guides Connect Live 2025 in Japan.
This surprised me quite a bit, as I checked the last time this event took place was in 2019, did anyone actually receive this invitation?
So has anyone actually attended this event before, and did it contribute to the development of their personal Local Guides work?

Yeah, Connect Live 2025 is real! Please follow the indications in your email to make your register and be prepared to travel to Tokyo to meet and share with Googlers and fellow local guides from the region!
Really appreciate the invite, however, getting the passport It’s really difficult in the city I live in. I really want to go, but the conditions here force me to move to the big city where the Japanese embassy is located, It takes a lot of time, effort and things I do in my daily life.
So I just have a small wish… maybe Google Maps could send a gift and send it to where I live, in lieu of my presence at Local Guides Connect Live 2025 in Tokyo.
I would really appreciate it if Google Maps would accept this wish from me. I really want to go and learn more from the experiences of a Local Guide, I really want to… even though I know there is no selection for my wish up there. But I respect the decisions Google Maps will make.
