I was asked to remove a review

Hi everyone. A while ago, I left a deservedly bad review for a tyre shop. Today they called me on my mobile phone and asked if I would remove the reply. I said no, so they then asked if there was anything they could do or offer me that would make me remove the review. I told them that a good start would be to review their staff’s behaviour and fix that, but I won’t be removing the review because it’s all true.

are they violating any of googles terms and conditions by doing this? It’s made me pretty angry.

I don’t think they are violating Google’s terms and conditions, but they might be violating their own data collection and privacy policy by using your phone number for a purpose other than what they collected it for (replacing your tyres) @Enotech

If they are abusive you can report them via Google My Business https://business.google.com/ , but if they’re just trying to improve your experience I would suggest that is something that they should do as a business.
