When I travel abroad, I always use google map not local map service(I don’t know local map service.) I use google map to check location, read reviews, see pictures and so on.
But in our country, Korea, I usually use local map service like Kakao map(카카오맵), Naver map(네이버맵), Onenavi(Navigation, 원내비). They have more information (location, phone number, address, etc.), they are more exact than google map. I know there is some security reason for maps in Korea. But I thought when foreigners came to Korea, especially my hometown, Gwangju, what map service they use… They should start with google map. So after that, I write reviews, upload photos and correct information. And write the name of places in English pronunciation.
I enjoy it and I am level 8 local guide now.

하지만 외국인들이 한국에, 특히 내가 살고 있는 광주에 왔을 때 어떤 지도를 볼까 생각해 보면 당연히 구글맵이 떠오른다. 그래서 그 이후 리뷰를 쓰고, 사진을 올리고, 잘못된 정보를 수정하고, 영어 이름을 달기 시작했다.
정말 재밌었다. 그러다 보니 어느덧 레벨 8의 지역 가이드가 되어있다.
