Hello Google moderators and others, unfortunately, there appears to be (a?) rogue Local Guide(s?) deleting places and editing positions of location markers/addresses near my hometown.
For example, McDonald’s suddenly disappeared from the Map in my relatively small hometown recently, even though that McDonald’s is still there in real life. There’s not even a trace of the location on Google Maps search or Google search (no Maps place card at the top) anymore. Similar editing has also happened to other places near me, and that’s on top of others being moved half way across the town.
I was advised to post here and use the above post title. I do hope this is the correct place! I look forward to hearing back from someone with regards to the next steps that should be taken. Many thanks
thank you for your report, yes please always tag a Google Moderator or a Connect Moderator so that we can take care about your inquiry.
About the Maps POI not anymore existing you can already submit an edit for them to add again the place providing all the correct information, you can find instructions here on how to add a missing place to Maps. My personal suggestion is to provide some photos directly into your edit submission to prove even more that the place is genuine, even better if you submit the edit while you are physically located there.
About reporting a Local Guide I’m tagging here @Ivi_Ge , she can provide you instructions how to do that.
@LuigiZ Many thanks for your quick reply and advice! With regards to tagging a Google moderator, does one normally just select randomly from the Google moderators list? Or are there certain people to tag for specific topics?
I have already added the McDonald’s POI back. However, all reviews and photos are gone, as is expected (as well as the phone number, address, website etc.). Therefore, it would evidently much better if the old one could be returned!
There are specific Google moderators for specific languages, so, in case for some posts in a certain language, you may want tag the relevant person. If it’s in English, you can tag anyone.

PS: Thank you @LuigiZ for tagging me and for helping.
Someone impersonated me using my Name and Picture in leaving many many fake/negative reviews in Google Business. How do I report to Google to have that impersonator removed? It is causing damage to my reputation and causing damage to those companies that this impersonator has left fake reviews on. I don’t have that person’s gmail account or gmail ID but I can locate that person’s Google Map contributor [Redacted]
I tried to report this to Google, flag out that these fake reviews but NOTHING is done yet. And this fake impersonator is still going around harming my reputation and other companies by leaving 1 star fake review using my name/picture.
I discovered it whenever those companies called me to ask why I left them negative reviews. Then I have to go to their Google business page to leave a remark that the negative review is not done by me, but another impersonator. See screenshots took below

This impersonator has left 47 negative reviews/ratings so far as of todate, using my name/picture. [Redacted]
