Hello guys, I’m an engineering student, I’m from Chittagong, Bangladesh and also a Google Local Guide. Most tourist places in Bangladesh situated in Chittagong city such as world’s largest unbroken sandy beach is in cox’s bazar, some beautiful islands in the bay of Bengal, so many natural waterfalls, tracking hills etc. mostly situated in Chittagong city, I visited almost every places. That’s why I can be a good Local guide. I want to guide new travelers specially foreign travelers without fee. How can I do that I want suggestion from expert.
Why I can be a best guide because I’m local in this city & I know the local language which is very important to visit freely, there are some more facilities for locals.

Hi @Zinan I think you’ve misunderstood what Local Guides is about. Local Guides is more about helping your own local community by keeping Maps up to date, adding photos and reviewing businesses.
Local Guides are not allowed to make money or any other gains from the program. We all have to be careful to stay within the Local Guides Program Terms and Conditions.

Being a Local Guide definitely adds to your credibility that you are volunteering and helping your community grow. The most important thing to notice here is that Google Local Guide program :
- is a volunteer program where we do not get paid for any contributions
- is a volunteer service and must not be done in return of any perks or favors
- must not be associated with our personal work experience. Simply put, we cannot directly/indirectly ask for any fee/perks/benefits, neither can bundle these services with our skills set
- must not be associated with our personal profiles ,meaning we should not confuse general public that we are related/affiliated to Google in any way (which in all honesty, we are not)
Do you know that paid work (other than select Trusted Street View program) directly violates Google Local Guides program policy and may get you banned from the program. I would reckon the best way is to help your local community grow, if you want to charge a fee, it must be your independent work in the capacity of a tour guide and please never mention or associate your Local Guides activity or Google Local Guides program (in general )in that program/activity ( It must be very clear and should not overlap).
