I’m new to providing edits and missing info to Google Maps. In September I added about 50 locations within a client’s business campus, by his direction. I provided road names and building identifications. Most of the edits have been approved and I can see them when I select My Contributions, but my client cannot see them. How can we go about making these edits visible to the public? Also, the client would like the building ID markers to be shown as “business markers” (his words, not mine). How do we go about making this change to the default markers? Lastly, some of the building markers that I provided were relocated from where I originally placed them, what is the best way to have them placed int he correct location?
The Contributions that I provided begin with “DuPont ESL” and are followed by a building number (.i.e. DuPont ESL 301).
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. The client would like to have all updates completed by November 1, 2018.
Hi @JWHaupt can you share the link on maps of one of these locations?
Eventually, some of them may be marked as applied for you but still not public.
Regarding markers on map: not all the places will show a marker; this depends on the relevance and on the search algorithm that stands behind Google Maps.
Most of what I contributed as missing places have been approved and show up as My Contributions, but when others search for them not all are found. If you navigate to Wilmington, Delaware and search for “DuPont ESL” the search will turn up 13 of the 50+ that I submitted and are noted as being approved. I made the submission in September, 2018 and most that are approved were approved by mid-September.
Hi @JWHaupt can you share the name of one that you think it’s not on the map? I suspect that all the 50 entries are in the map, but you can find only searching for exact name (and this is correct). I was able to find many of the entries I can see in your map.
