I am a traveller. I love exploring new places with friends and i also love to keep the moments framed. In fact i take photos a lot, really A LOT.
I started using maps when my father bought me a smartphone and ever since then, it never failed me.
I find it tremendously helpful to use maps whenever i go to a new place. And then i noticed map is actually keeping the track of photos, when and where are they taken. It doesn’t stop there, it also suggests me to upload photos to places where it was taken. This is a great idea because I don’t even have to remember about thousands of photos and they are going straight to the place they belong.
Now, why i love sharing photos to maps?
Because its easier to have a clear concept of the place you are planning to visit if you already have a glimpse of what the place may look like. It could be a all-day-hike trail, or may even be a restaurant you are planning a dinner for. It just makes the whole planning thing a lot more easier.
For local businesses, its a win win actually. The seller / shopkeeper can have a pretty good number of visitors if the customer satisfaction is good and they leave a high rating with some good photos. On the other hand, chances of consumers finding a suitable place will be more likely.
I find it very satisfactory when i see my uploaded photos have plenty of views which means people are being helped and they need to be helped just like i needed.
This is why i love the map so much. I appreciate the services google is providing making peoples life better. I am also proud to be a part of it.
