Google local guide program means alot to me with the reasons being, helping strangers, tourist and business to locate the nearest point of contact. I made a big impact by adding a Beach Front resort to Google Map with pictures. I remember I and my wife travelled to Keta it in the Volta region of Ghana a place I have never driven to by myself always on public transport. After we got Sogakope a town just by the road side I parked to urinate after a long hour drive, I saw a sign post lying on the floor flat with the caption Sogakope Beach Resort, after I got back into the car I told my wife to let us go check the place out before we continue our journey which she agreed, and trust me we never regretted for doing that though it’s far from the main Sogakope township, we ordered for some juice and took some pictures after taking a stroll at the resort upon arriving. I then uploaded it on Google Map somewhere 2018 August and the feedback I got was amazing, people asking questions if such resort exist in Ghana upon seeing the pictures and they would like to check the place out, the after Christmas was over I had to contact their front desk to enquire whether patrons trooped in and upon which recommendation , she mentioned that Google Map recommendations was the highest in terms of percentage. I knew I was the only local guide who reviewed it and the joy I had within boosted my confidence to strive more and help businesses located clients, tourist locate tourist centers and strangers locate the nearest point of contact. Local guide means a lot to me especially when people within the country Ghana. Has to depend on my recommendation to make a move, I feel very proud by aiding people take good decisions with the help of my posts in local guide. This wants me to go check new places out when ever I move around and my love for exploring keeps increasing day by day
