I Started Clicking Photos with My Mobile, AGAIN!

Believe it or not, but this is the most interesting thing that I have done as a Local Guide.

Mobile Photography always had a special place in my heart as a child. I fell in love with it when i went on a trip with my family. We went to see monuments in Rajasthan. I found them to be historically gigantic and amazingly strong, considering the fact that they were built hundreds of years ago with no technology available. One can only imagine the brains that were involved in building them. While walking around the location with my family, i wanted to capture all of it in my mobile and thus, it began.

The images that i clicked also included clicks of the road on which we were driving. But it did not last long, and i stopped clicking images as i did not know what to do with those clicks and where to share them.

One day, i got a notification from Google Maps asking me to review. I tapped on the notification and started to review and write my opinion about the place. Once i was done, i saw an option to add images and that’s when it started again. Although, i very often forget to click an image because, well, i am hungry and i start eating immediately when my food arrives.

One can only forget a couple of times but when one realizes that the reviews and images help many people to know about a place, it becomes more of a responsibility to click the image. May be the word, “Responsibility” is a word that i should have avoided but let’s admit it, it is what it is and when mixed with what you love to do then it is a lot of fun.

Now every time i click an image with mobile, i feel like being reconnected to my childhood, except for the fact that we now have better cameras and editing apps on mobile.

Clicking an image is fun, and sharing it on Google Maps is a fun responsibility that makes it worth everything. It takes me back to my childhood every time i click and that’s what the program mean to me.

Love!
